CIVIC & COMMUNITY SERVICE
Our Civic Project
The Baltimore Girl Friends continue to lead initiatives that greatly impact the day-to-day lives of others. This year, we determined it would be beneficial to provide materials that help improve the health and safety of a local inner-city school community.
After a review of the rising COVID numbers, the recommendation of the Civic Committee was
to support a request for us to provide COVID Classroom Kits to an inner-city school. Efforts included the Baltimore Girl Friends collaborating closely with the principal and staff of The Stadium School in Baltimore City to have them contribute their ideas for how we could support them to make a difference in the life of their school community. The principal and staff recommended that we support classrooms with COVID Kits to assist students as they transition back to in-person learning.
On Thursday, February 3, 2022, The Baltimore Girl Friends provided COVID Kits for every
classroom in the school. To intentionally expand the number of COVID Kits to support the
middle school students, teachers, and community, Baltimore Girl Friends provided;
-
ï‚·Disposable N-95 face masks
-
Lysol Disinfecting Wipes
-
Lysol Disinfectant Spray, Crisp Linen

The Principal, Shayna Hall, remarked, “We are so thankful to The Baltimore Girl Friends for this gift to the Stadium School. We are so appreciative because we have a challenge trying to use our budget to finance certain things that the district gave us initially, but we want to make sure teachers have access to it without having to spend their own money. Having extra wipes and masks on hand will be great for all of our students and staff.”
The Baltimore Girl Friends make a positive difference in the lives of their fellow citizens and in their community.
